Doorstep Organics installs a 39kW Solar System

Doorstep organics is Australia’s original online organic food delivery service covering everything from organic meat and fish to seasonal vegetable boxes.

Fitting with the companies brand and vision, Peter Richardson MD Doorstep Organics, was interested to pursue the project to reduce the carbon footprint of his operations. The solar project will offset over 900 tonnes of carbon emissions through its lifetime.

After already receiving a few quotes, Peter Richardson engaged with Solar Choice to get some expert advice. Solar Choice’s engineering team put together a couple of different system designs to demonstrate the trade off between a large and smaller system size.

Solar Choice also provide quotes from reputable and competitive installers which significant experience on similar projects. One of Solar Choice’s partners installed the system in March 2020.

The system features 400W Risen Solar Panels and SolarEdge inverters with power optimisers which will improve the systems resilience to shading and soiling.
